REVIEW ARTIKEL: FORMULASI DAN EVALUASI SEDIAAN TABLET SALUT FILM

Background: Film-coated tablets are one of the important innovations in the pharmaceutical industry because they can improve the stability, effectiveness, and comfort of oral drug use. This study aims to illuminate various formulations and coating methods for film-coated tablets and their effects on physical quality, stability, and release of active substances. The method used is a literature review by reviewing relevant scientific articles from the last five years through databases such as Google Scholar and PubMed. The results of the review show that the selection of coating materials (eg HPMC, Opadry, shellac), concentration, and the right coating technique greatly affect the quality of the tablet, including stability to moisture, disintegration time, and dissolution profile. In conclusion, formulation innovation and optimization of the coating process greatly determine the success of film-coated tablets in meeting quality standards and therapeutic effectiveness, so that it can improve the fulfillment and safety of drug use for patients
