Home Automation System using IOT and voice Control
With the growing demand for intelligent and energy-efficient living spaces, home automation systems have become a crucial component of modern smart homes. This research presents the design and implementation of a Python-based home automation system that integrates Internet of Things (IoT) devices with voice control functionalities to enhance user convenience, accessibility, and security. The system architecture utilizes a Raspberry Pi as the central controller, connected to various smart appliances through Wi-Fi-enabled relays and sensors.Python programming is employed for device control, data processing, and interfacing with external APIs for voice recognition and cloud services. The voice control feature is implemented using Google Speech Recognition API, enabling users to operate lights, fans, and other appliances through simple voice commands.A lightweight web-based dashboard is also developed using Flask for remote monitoring and manual control. The system was tested in a real-time environment and demonstrated reliable performance, low latency, and scalability. This research highlights the potential of combining open-source technologies to create cost-effective and user-friendly smart home solutions.
