Bridging Forensics Engineering and Justice: Lessons from Operation G7
This study investigates the application of forensic engineering in public works, centering on Operation G7, a significant antifraud initiative. Utilizing a document analysis methodology, the research systematically reviews judicial case files and forensic evidence to examine urban pavement projects in Epitaciolândia. Key findings identify overbilling and mismanagement, underscoring systemic failures in public administration and lapses in contract oversight. By linking technical discrepancies in project execution to judicial outcomes, the study highlights the pivotal role of forensic expertise in fostering accountability, improving transparency, and enhancing the management of public resources. The findings provide a framework for integrating technical investigations with legal processes.
