Event-triggered stabilization for a class of switched nonlinear systems with impulse disturbance

In this paper, the event-triggered stabilization problem is investigated for a class of nonstrict-feedback switched nonlinear systems with impulse disturbances and asynchronous switching. In most previous works on event-triggered (ET) control, the system behavior at triggering instants is neglected. Actually, whenever an event is triggered, the control signal will jump suddenly such that an impulse is imposed to the system, which may lead to the jump of system states. On the other hand, since the controller is only updated at triggering instants, the asynchronous switching behavior may occur between the actual controller and its corresponding controlled subsystem. These facts bring great challenges for ET mechanism design and stability analysis. In order to solve these problems, a mixed ET mechanism with adjustable parameters is designed to establish the relationship between system switching and event triggering, and it is proved that the Zeno behavior can be avoided. Then, the analysis of asynchronous switching behavior can be implemented and some relevant stability conditions are derived using average dwell time technique, under which the influence of impulse disturbances can be eliminated and the developed switched ET controller can render the closed-loop system globally asymptotically stable.
