RADIATION DAMAGE OF THE ALUMINUM COATING OF THE URANIUM TARGET OF A NEUTRON SOURСE
The distribution of proton flux along the depth of the aluminum coating of the uranium target of the NSC KPTI neutron source, irradiated a high-energy electrons with an energy of 100 MeV, was calculated. A relationship has been established between the nuclear-physical characteristics of radiation damage (hydrogen, number of displacements per atom) and the physical-mechanical characteristics of samples of similar materials irradiated with neutrons in nuclear reactors and protons + neutrons in the so-called ADS systems. On this basis, an assessment of the resource of the target coating material was carried out.
