Theoretical Calculation and Qualitative Analysis of the Power Generation for the Sinter-Circle-Cooling with Hot Air Circulation

This article establishes a new mathematical model based on the principle of energy conservation, and combines the design of the high-temperature and medium temperature sections from conventional Sinter-circle-cooling(SCC) with waste heat recovery, then the outlet temperature changes and ore temperature changes of the SCC under different hot air circulation temperatures are given. Simplified qualitative calculations reveal that the temperature change rate at the outlet is lower than that at the inlet, and the temperature change rate in the later stage is higher than that in the earlier stage. When the amount of ore capacity and air flow remain constant, the higher the specific heat of the ore, the higher the outlet temperature of the flue gas at the waste heat power generation end of the ring cooler. As the temperature of the circulating hot air increases, the effective heat gain and power generation of the waste heat power generation system significantly increase, with a greater growth rate in power generation. The above analysis indicates that hot air circulation is an effective way to improve the performance of waste heat power generation in ring coolers, which is of great significance for achieving carbon neutrality in steel mills.
