Prompt Injection in Large Language Model Exploitation: A Security Perspective
With the rapid growth of AI technologies, ensuring the security of open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) is crucial to maintaining their reliability and trustworthiness. The paper presents a detailed framework to evaluate the security risks of these models in today's fast-changing technological world. This framework includes generators, probes, detectors, and evaluation methods, all centered around the Prompt Inject framework, which helps identify vulnerabilities and possible attacks on LLMs. By using this approach, organizations, researchers, and developers can assess how easily these models can be manipulated and take steps to improve their security. The paper highlights important applications like security testing, penetration testing, compliance checks, and continuous monitoring, ensuring that LLMs remain safe and reliable. This research is valuable for strengthening cybersecurity efforts in the era of open-source AI, helping to build safer and more trustworthy AI systems.
