Design and Development of Quadruped Robot for Carrying and Operating Agro Tools in Agricultural Fields
The development of autonomous agricultural robots is essential in modern farming because they provide accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability. This work aims to create a quadruped robot that can perform tasks like weed removal, pesticide spraying, and crop data analysis using a modular design. The robot has different agro-modules, including a delta arm for removing weeds, a sprinkler for pesticide spraying, and a camera for collecting real-time crop data. Its special feature is its ability to move autonomously across various terrains while completing these tasks, which helps to increase productivity and lower labor costs. Main goal is to create a working quadruped robot with effective movement, gait planning, and motor synchronization for steady movement across farmland. Each of its four legs has two motors controlling the knee and ankle. It uses inverse kinematics to determine the angles needed for leg movements. The gait planning system allows it to perform a coordinated trot for balance and stability. Its lightweight design and efficient motor control enhance its ability to navigate tough terrain while conserving energy. The robot also analyzes crop health, offering farmers important insights for improving productivity.
