University Students' Acceptance of Using Microsoft Teams for Online Learning Post-COVID-19

Microsoft Teams was widely considered as an efficient online learning platform throughout the pandemic. Consequently, researchers were particularly intrigued by the subjects of students' perspectives on the use of Microsoft Teams in online education during this period. Post-COVID-19; nevertheless, is still a relatively new and uncharted contextual theme. This research aims to expose whether students are still interested in utilizing Microsoft Teams for their learning after the pandemic. A mix of quantitative and qualitative approaches, a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, and a semi-structured interview were employed to accumulate data from 130 students at a private university in Vietnam. The statistical results for correlation point to existing interrelationships between the three clusters affect, behavior, and cognition. Further descriptive statistical analysis reveals an overall agreement among students regarding their affective, behavioral, and cognitive acceptance of using Microsoft Teams for online learning post-COVID-19, though with some more varied and nuanced qualitative data from the interviews. This research also identified implications and obstacles for future studies and pedagogical applications, especially in the domain of online learning in higher education.

Abstract

Microsoft Teams was widely considered as an efficient online learning platform throughout the pandemic. Consequently, researchers were particularly intrigued by the subjects of students' perspectives on the use of Microsoft Teams in online education during this period.
