Using a SPOC-based Flipped Classroom Instructional Mode to Cultivate Creativity
Small Private Online Courses (SPOCs) have emerged as valuable tools in higher education. They leverage advanced information technology to provide accessible and flexible learning opportunities. Integrating SPOCs into higher education aligns well with the need to cultivate Creativity. The study integrates online resources with classroom activities to create an interactive learning environment where students actively engage in the learning process. Furthermore, the SPOC Teaching Mode can also facilitate students' professional knowledge learning. After the implementation, This study experiments to compare the effect of this mode with a traditional pedagogy. The results show that learners in the experimental group outperform those in the control group by a T-test. The SPOC teaching mode can help students improve their problem-solving, practicality, and fluency. Which, in turn, can enhance their professional competence and prepare them better for workplace challenges.
