In the process of national renewal, the Communist Party of Vietnam has established that Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought serve as the theoretical foundation for the principles guiding the renewal policy. By remaining loyal to creatively applying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, nearly 40 years of renewal efforts have led Vietnam to significant, comprehensive achievements, elevating the nation to a new international standing and steadily progressing toward socialismrenewal. This article elucidates that Ho Chi Minh Thought is an important theoretical foundation for the principles of building the renewal policy and its significance in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, contributing to maintaining the socialist orientation in the current period.
