Research on Double Side Linear Synchronous Motor Scheme for High-Speed Propulsion
To better enhance the thrust density and equilibrium stability of the high-speed test vehicle-track linear drive system for high-speed and acceleration, and to avoid insulation issues that may arise from excessively high voltages, this paper proposes a novel double side twelve-phase permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (DST-PMLSM). The design target speed of the motor is 1000-1500 km/h, and the maximum acceleration is 15-20g. Taking the stator, mover structure and segmentation scheme as the main research issues. First, 2-D and 3-D models of the motor are established using the finite element method to analyze key electrical parameters, including the stator winding inductance coefficient under different traction currents and the back electromotive force (EMF) coefficient at various speeds. Then, considering drive acceleration and deceleration requirements and the converter capacity configuration, a long-stator segmentation method is proposed. Furthermore, by setting a high-speed lateral offset condition for the mover, the variations in thrust and normal force acting on the mover are calculated to verify thrust fluctuation changes, the structural strength safety range of the mover is determined.
