Power Distribution of Energy Storage Systems for Smoothing Wind Power Fluctuations
As the proportion of wind power in the power system continues to increase, the integration of wind power presents new challenges to the economic operation and optimal dispatch of the power system. To effectively smooth the power fluctuations of wind power and improve the grid's ability to accommodate wind power, this paper proposes an optimization algorithm based on HHO (Harris Hawks Optimization) and VMD (Variational Mode Decomposition).[1] The method utilizes HHO to optimize the parameters of VMD, performing multiscale decomposition of wind power.[8] Based on this, power distribution for the energy storage system is carried out, using its fast response characteristics to efficiently smooth the fluctuations.[3] This further enhances the dynamic response performance and economic efficiency of the wind power system, and the approach is verified through simulation.
