An Efficient and Scalable Cross-Chain Identity Authentication Method Based on Improved DID
With the development of consortium blockchain technology, blockchain has been widely applied in many fields, such as finance, traceability, and electronic evidence storage. However, different blockchain systems cannot interoperate, resulting in data silos. Therefore, achieving cross-chain communication and data interaction between consortium blockchains has become a critical issue that urgently needs to be addressed in the current development of blockchain technology. Cross-chain identity authentication technology is a prerequisite for secure cross-chain interactions, yet most existing cross-chain identity solutions suffer from poor scalability. This paper proposes a cross-chain identity authentication method based on DID (Decentralized Identifier), which enhances scalability. Additionally, to address the risk of single-point failure that associated with the VC (Verifiable Credential) Issuer in traditional DID solutions, we introduce threshold signature technology to eliminate the centralized dependency on the VC Issuer, thereby improving system security. Analysis indicate that this solution exhibits strong scalability and security, while experimental results demonstrate favorable performance.
