Full-Power-Range Instantaneous Flux and Current Control of Three-Phase Dab Converters with Different Winding Configurations
The three-phase dual-active bridge converter, a promising topology for high-power dc-dc conversion, suffers from transient overshoots and DC bias under conventional single phase-shift (SPS) modulation when performed a load angle change. While instantaneous flux and current control (IFCC) effectively suppresses transient flux/current overshoots and dc bias in wye-wye connected transformers and load angle below 60 degrees, its applicability to different winding configurations and wider load angle range remains unexplored. This paper presents a generalized model to verify the applicability of the IFCC method under extended conditions, which can be utilized for a fast and precise feed-forward control. The proposed model indicates that the IFCC method is still effective without any hardware modification under investigated condition, although the transient duration increases by one-sixth of a switching cycle when load angle exceeds 60 degrees. Simulation results are provided to validate the analysis.
