Regenerative Snubber for Tapped-Inductor and Transformer Isolated Converters
This paper presents the topology, simulation analysis, and experimental results of a lossless snubber suited for high step-up converters employing tapped-inductor or isolation transformers. The advantages of the proposed snubber include lossless operation, limited voltage rise <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{d V} / \mathbf{d t}$</tex>, limited reverse recovery current <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{d I} / \mathbf{d t}$</tex>, and the ability to accelerate rectifier current ramping. These features of the proposed snubber help attaining higher converter efficiency.
