Performance Evaluation of Physical Layer Authentication Based on Channel State Informantion under Massive MIMO systems
This paper derives the performance of authentication schemes based on channel state information in massive MIMO systems. In massive MIMO systems, the reduction of antenna spacing and mutual coupling between antennas result in the correlation of channel state information (CSI) between each antenna. The existing physical layer authentication schemes based on CSI assume that the channel state information between each antenna is independent of each other, which greatly overestimates the performance of the authentication systems. In order to accurately evaluate the authentication performance, we modeled the channel model of the massive MIMO system, which fully considers the effects of antenna correlation and antenna coupling. The results indicate that the existing approach overestimates performance by approximately 13%.
