Wide-Range Droop Enhancement Design Based on Admittance Analysis for Hybrid Droop Control DC Microgrids
In DC microgrids, droop control is widely used to achieve load sharing without communication. Traditional studies focus on different droop control admittance design models (either V-I droop or I-V droop) independently. Although these researches revealed the stability issue, they have not yet revealed the actual stability enhancement approach of a hybrid different droop models. This paper analyzed the state space model for hybrid integration of V-I and I-V droop control converters, which could enhance system stability and power distribution accuracy, and provide a calculation result for actual parameter design for hybrid droop control microgrids. To address this issue, a quantitative parameter design method based on a comparative admittance analysis is proposed to ensure power sharing while enhancing system stability when integrating I-V converters into a V-I controlled system. State-space models are established to analyze the dynamic characteristics of hybrid droop control. Simulations using Simulink validation are conducted to verify the theoretical analysis. The results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively improves current sharing and enhances system stability, making it more suitable for large-scale and complex DC microgrid applications.
