USO DE TÉCNICAS FISIOTERÁPICAS NA PROMOÇÃO DO DESEMPENHO E DIMINUIÇÃO DOS RISCOS DE LESÕES EM COMPETIDORES PARATLETAS DA NATAÇÃO

The aim of the study was to analyze the influence of the one injury prevention program composed for straight training and myofascial release in the performance of swimming parathletes. Crossover study, with six randomized swimming parathletes in: control (GC, n=03) and experimental group (GE, n=03), with diagnostic of Cerebral Palsy and Myelomeningocele. All were submitted to anamneses, anthropometric evaluation and kinanthropometric: Dynamometer; Unilateral Short Seat Put Test; CKCUEST; Upper Quarter Y-Balance Test and RAST Test. The GC started with traditional training, carried out myofascial release and resistance training with elastic band, for eight weeks. The performance was bigger after myofascial release from the results in the test of “TAF 50m” in the periods pre and post-intervention, respectively (GC: 46,67± 9,59 e 53,56±24,91) and (GE: 56,04± 27,58 e 46,14±9,42); in the “RAST test” (GC: 95,67± 26,1 e 86,53±25,14) and (GE: 94,52±24,94 e 87,37±27,13). Regarding resistance training, was utilized the Y-ballance test with based on evaluation, with analysis to average values pre and post-intervention Y-ballance (GC: 1,32±0,15 and 1,3±0,14) and (GE: 1,2±0,16 and 1,54±0,4), Dynamometer (GC: 28,61±9,11 and 29,05±9,52) and (GE: 27,27±8,69 and 31,99±7,59). The straight training and the myofascial release promoted improvement in the straight and in performance of parathletes practicing swimming. Abstract
