An Improved Sensorless Control Method for Distributed Chain Winding LSLSM Applied in High-Speed Maglev Trains

According to the technical requirements for higher speed of maglev trains, a novel distributed chain winding structure is proposed. It can enhance speed limit by flexibly configuring variable number of coil turns across the full speed range. Subsequently, a mathematical model of the novel winding motor is established, and based on this model, the sensorless control method at zero and low speeds is investigated as emergency backup solutions. Furthermore, considering the characteristics of high voltage, large current, and low switching frequency in high-speed maglev trains, it is necessary to account for system control delays. On this basis, a serial filterless structure is introduced. This paper adopts an improved high-frequency square-wave voltage injection method. Finally, simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, and demonstrate that the proposed method can reduce cumulative position errors, decrease phase shift angles, and enhance sensorless control capability.
