Long Term Planning of Dual Carbon Power Sources Considering the Development of Energy Storage Technology
Under the background of “dual carbon”, the longterm planning of the new power system needs to adjust the power structure, and the demand for flexible capacity adjustment such as energy storage in the system is further increasing. Therefore, a long-term planning model suitable for the power system is proposed as a power source long-term planning method that considers energy utilization, energy storage technology development, and environmental impact. The method not only sets long-term goals, but also embeds phased planning goals. In response to the constant occurrence of random events and variables in long-term planning, such as the uncertainty of energy storage technology development, two uncertain quantities, namely the cumulative installed capacity and market maturity, are adopted. The calculation results can intuitively obtain the power planning and dual carbon completion status at each stage, providing reference for phased planning and low-carbon paths, and achieving dual carbon goals more economically and early.
