Improved Droop Control Strategy Based on Reactive Power Sharing Error Rate

In islanded microgrids, the inconsistency in line impedances leads to a conventional droop control strategy among multiple parallel inverters struggling to achieve adequate accuracy in reactive power sharing. In this article, an improved droop control strategy based on the rate of reactive power sharing error is proposed to address the issue of power sharing in parallel systems. Firstly, the microgrid central controller (MGCC) is employed to compute and allocate the deviation of reactive power sharing error. Subsequently, it dynamically adjusts these errors through a PI controller, thereby enabling real-time compensation for the discrepancies in the traditional QV droop control. Finally, to verify the efficiency of the proposed control, simulations are conducted using MATLAB/Simulink environment.
