A Full-Link Simultaneous Wireless Power and Information Transfer Architecture Based on Carrier Frequency Modulation
In this paper, a full-link simultaneous wireless power and information transfer (SWPIT) method is proposed. To achieve this, the characteristic quantities used for information loading in microwave power transfer (MPT) system are analyzed. It is found that the frequency modulation of high-frequency carriers can realize the decoupling between information loading and power transmission. Then, the full-link SWPIT architecture based on carrier frequency modulation is proposed, which fully contains the transmitting and receiving links of power and information. The signal modulation and demodulation methods are also provided to implement the information loading and extraction. Finally, a system prototype is fabricated and tested in the lab. Experimental results show that the deep integration and simultaneous transmission of power and information are achieved by the proposed SWPIT architecture.
