Measures Against Overshooting During Levitation and Propulsion Control of Linear Induction Motors
We propose a maglev transport system that uses only a Single Sided Linear Induction Motor (SLIM) and no levitation magnets. It controls both the attractive force and the thrust using a power source with different frequency components. In the proposed system, the total force is the sum of the forces generated by the different frequency components. In our previous study, we created an experimental machine driven by the described method. However, when the levitation and propulsion control was performed, the state of the machine became unstable when speed reference values were input, and there was a risk of contact between the primary and secondary sides. In this study, we examined the reason for the sudden instability and verified a method to suppress it.
