Peak Current Control of Dual Active Full-Bridge Based on Extended Phase Shift Control
In Dual Active Full-Bridge (DAB) converters, DC current offset results in magnetic saturation and high current stress. In order to suppress both steady state and transient DC offset and ensure high efficiency operation of the converter, a peak current control strategy based on extended phase shift control is proposed. By controlling the inductor peak current, the steadystate and transient DC offset are effectively suppressed. At the same time, the minimum inductor RMS current and zero voltage switching(ZVS) conditions are also realized, which reduces inductor loss and switching loss. The working principle and implementation of the peak current control strategy based on extended phase shift control are introduced in detail. Finally, the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
