Grid-Forming Control Design for Vsg Energy Storage Converters Based on Time-Domain Dynamic Indicators
This study centers on the grid-forming energy storage converter with a Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) control architecture as its primary research focus. A small-signal modeling approach is employed to develop the small-signal model for the VSG power outer loop, which is subsequently refined and streamlined to derice its second-order equivalent representation. Expanding upon this foundational modeling framework, the research delves into the influence of virtual rotational inertia and damping coefficient on both active power regulation performance and inertia response characteristics. Furthermore, a novel parameter optimization strategy for grid-forming control based on time-domain dynamic indicators is proposed. Finally, the validity and efficacy of the proposed parameter design approach are conclusively demonstrated through extensive simulation analyses.
