Analysis of LTE and 5GNR Interoperability in Wireless Network Optimization

With the advent of China Telecom's large-scale commercial deployment of 5G Standalone (SA) networks, the new network architecture and the long-term coexistence of 4G and 5G have increased network complexity, posing multifaceted challenges for network optimization. During the initial stages of SA network deployment, achieving continuous coverage is difficult. Therefore, leveraging the existing LTE network as the foundational coverage and ensuring seamless user experience through inter-system interoperability between 4G and 5G has become a pressing practical issue.
