mBP: A Comfortable and Continuous Blood Pressure Monitoring Method by Fusing Millimeter Wave and Micro-Pressure Wave
Comfortable, continuous, and accurate blood pressure monitoring is becoming increasingly important. However, traditional blood pressure measurement methods cannot simultaneously meet both comfort and accuracy requirements and are thus not suitable. This paper combines millimeter-wave radar sensing technology and micro-pressure technology to develop a system prototype, designs a pulse wave recovery algorithm, and a pressure wave, pulse wave bimodal fusion network, ultimately achieving accurate and comfortable blood pressure measurement. The standard deviation (STD) error for Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP) is 4.36 mmHg, with a mean error (ME) of 0.27 mmHg, and for Diastolic Blood Pressure (DBP), the STD error is 3.43 mmHg, with a ME of 0.25 mmHg. These results meet the FDA's AAMI standards.
