Remote wind turbine monitoring using IoT

This paper focuses on remote monitoring capabilities for a wind turbine SCADA system. This feature was implemented as a human-machine interface (HMI) through an Internet of Things (IoT) service, namely ThingSpeak. The results of this endeavour were used to evaluate the performances of this technology compared to other, well-established remote monitoring technologies. The technologies reviewed in this paper are only the ones that are LabVIEW-compatible since the wind turbine SCADA system was developed using LabVIEW.
