Optical Modulator Mode Analysis Based on Lithium Niobate Thin Film

In this paper, how to construct an electro-optical modulator capable of reaching arbitrary crystal waveguide in the frequency range of 1064nm using optimized optical waveguide design parameters on the x-cut LNOI (Li-niobate insulator) technology platform is deeply analyzed. Through digital simulation and theoretical reasoning, the interaction effect of light wave and microwave under applied voltage is studied, and the influence of various parameters on the microwave effective refractive index of electro-optical overlap integral is clarified.

Abstract

In this paper, how to construct an electro-optical modulator capable of reaching arbitrary crystal waveguide in the frequency range of 1064nm using optimized optical waveguide design parameters on the x-cut LNOI (Li-niobate insulator) technology platform is deeply analyzed. Through digital simulation and theoretical reasoning, the interaction effect of light wave and microwave under applied voltage is studied, and the influence of various parameters on the microwave effective refractive index of electro-optical overlap integral is clarified.
