Research on Optimization of Distributed Energy Storage Investment in Multi-Market Power Systems
This paper proposes an optimization model for distributed energy storage (DES) investment under the influence of a multi-market mechanism, tailored to different application scenarios and investment entities. The analysis focuses on two categories of stakeholders in a multi-market context and explores the potential application scenarios and utilization value of DES for each stakeholder. Based on the requirements of various scenarios, corresponding optimization models for energy storage investment are developed. A comparative analysis is conducted using case studies to evaluate the economic and technical effects of different storage configurations for the same entity under varying scenarios, followed by optimization of storage allocation for different stakeholders. The research findings indicate that grid-side storage is the optimal choice for delaying grid investment, while user-side storage is more suitable for reducing electricity costs and increasing revenue.
