Information Design and Application of Smart Construction Site Monitoring System for Municipal Engineering Based on AIoT

Under the strong promotion of the national digital transformation strategy, municipal engineering construction has ushered in unprecedented development opportunities, but the complexity and management difficulty of the construction site environment have also increased. Traditional surveillance video methods are inadequate in the face of numerous targets and scattered distribution on construction sites, making it difficult to achieve comprehensive coverage and real-time detection of safety hazards. Most of these surveillance footage are only used for post event tracing and evidence collection, and cannot effectively prevent unsafe human behavior or unsafe physical conditions. As a result, the smart construction site system has emerged, integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and big data analysis to create a comprehensive safety supervision solution tailored for municipal engineering sites. This article proposes a smart construction site monitoring system for municipal engineering based on AIoT, which deeply integrates AI and IoT technologies, aiming to achieve active identification and early warning of safety risks on construction sites. The experimental results show that the system can significantly improve the accuracy of identifying unsafe human behavior and unsafe physical states, providing strong support for the digital transformation and safe development of municipal engineering.
