An AIoT-Based System for Livestock Management to Improve Their Productivity and Well-Being
Agriculture has, for a long time, been the backbone of the economy of several countries. However, most farmers lack access to modern technologies that can help boost productivity. The available farming systems are either too expensive or not optimised for small-scale farmers. In support of the sustainable development goal (SDG) two that focuses on eliminating world hunger, we have developed an affordable and low-powered system for small-scale livestock farmers. The system aids in remote monitoring and control of the environmental factors surrounding the animals. It also uses machine learning for early disease detection, thus reducing mortality rates in domesticated animals.
