Automated System for Orchard Layout Planning
The proper planning of tree planting in an orchard is directly related to both the rapid development of the cultivation and the creation of suitable conditions for maximizing its production. The goal of this work is the pilot implementation of a tree (wall nuts) planting design and preparation system based on the creation of software for optimal spatial allocation using agronomic, geomorphological, and climatic criteria supported by aerial surveillance vehicle (drone). The system offers improvements in cultivation tasks during exploitation, excellent agronomic results (optimal pollinator placement), precise digital mapping of the orchard, and land use optimization.
