A 5‐Year Follow‐Up Case Report Documenting Stable Peri‐Implant Health Status Around a Re‐Osseointegrated Implant

This 5-year follow-up case report documents that local bone loss around an osseointegrated implant can be reversed and maintained stable, even in a medically compromised patient. Clinical and radiographical data indicate that the long-term peri-implant health status of a re-osseointegrated implant can be maintained by reducing and/or optimizing the occlusal load.

Abstract

This 5-year follow-up case report documents that local bone loss around an osseointegrated implant can be reversed and maintained stable, even in a medically compromised patient. Clinical and radiographical data indicate that the long-term peri-implant health status of a re-osseointegrated implant can be maintained by reducing and/or optimizing the occlusal load.
