First person – Yoko Hayashi-Takanaka
ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Yoko Hayashi-Takanaka is first author on ‘ Proteasome-dependent Orc6 removal from chromatin upon S-phase entry safeguards against minichromosome maintenance complex reloading and tetraploidy’, published in JCS. Yoko conducted the research described in this article while a Research Fellow in Professor Yasushi Hiraoka's lab at Osaka University. She is now a research fellow in the lab of Professor Ichiro Hiratani at RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research (BDR), Kobe, Japan, investigating epigenetic regulation throughout the cell cycle.
