Estar quieto no es lo mismo que no hacer nada: la inteligencia artificial y los educadores

The current pace of life, significantly shaped by the accelerated development of various technologies, including different forms of artificial intelligence, has created an urgent need to discuss both the risks and the vast possibilities of the latter, particularly in the field of education. In this context, this paper offers a reflection on the understanding of these advancements and their functionality within Latin American teaching practices, framed by concepts such as time and the fast-paced nature of artificial intelligence (AI) evolution. To enrich this reflection, insights from several philosophers renowned for their discussions on technological progress are considered. The aim is to bring their reflections into our current context, illustrating the diverse ways in which educators confront and embrace their roles in the AI era.
