MECHANISMS OF VARICELLA ZOSTER VIRUS’S INFLUENCE ON THE IMMUNE RESPONSE DURING INFECTION
The varicella zoster virus uses the immune evasion strategies to support its life cycle, ensuring latency in the human cells, in particular affecting production of interferons by way of indirect effect on the intracellular immune response mechanisms or directly infecting the immune subgroups which are vital for antiviral immunity.
