Conceptual foundations of the historical education ecosystem model in the context of modern global challenges

Introduction. Historical education has not only educational, but also powerful educational potential. Today, historical education is a condition for preserving traditional spiritual and moral values, defined by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation № 809 of 09.11.2022. That is why there is a need and relevance to search for new teaching and education methods in the system of historical education. One of the effective ways, in this regard, can be a model of the ecosystem of historical education, meaningfully and conceptually built taking into account modern global challenges. Materials and Methods. In the process of developing a conceptual model of the ecosystem of historical education, an analysis of literature on the problem of approaches to modern historical education was conducted, key risks of modern socio- cultural dynamics were identified, which should be reflected in the educational process. Systematization and generalization of the obtained data made it possible to identify the grounds for creating a model reflecting the structure of the educational ecosystem of historical education at the levels: school-secondary vocational education institution-university. Results. Modern historical education is going through a period of adaptation to the challenges and threats of a geopolitical and socio-cultural nature. This is evidenced by the development of unified history textbooks at the school level, and since 2024 at the level of higher education. Conceptually, the model of the ecosystem of historical education is based on a multi-level presentation of history (federal and regional components); the multi-aspect nature of history (analysis of various aspects of the dynamics of society - economy, politics, culture, social sphere); understanding of man as a part of a whole, which is the people; ideas of a space for dialogue through the prism of the concept of the Russian world. In the issue of the formation and development of Russian statehood, the emphasis is on the multinational and multi-confessional nature of Russia. The focus of the model of the ecosystem of historical education on the formation of patriotism is ensured by priority attention to the heroic pages of the Russian past. Russian history is understood as part of the socio-cultural dynamics of mankind, and regional history (the history of specific subjects of the Russian Federation) as part of the history of Russia. Conclusion. Despite the existing educational developments of history courses, the implementation of the ecosystem model seems to be successful if a number of conditions are met, namely: a comprehensive analysis and discussion of the state of modern problems of teaching history at school, as well as at the levels of secondary vocational and higher education; a study of the experience of teachers involved in the implementation of the State Assignment of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation for research work, as well as teachers using the principles of the ecosystem approach in their work; widespread use of modern teaching aids and recommendations for teachers published in the last 2 years; improvement of the system of training and retraining of teaching staff; preparation of recommendations and educational publications on issues of teaching regional history.

Today, historical education is a condition for preserving traditional spiritual and moral values, defined by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation № 809 of 09.11.2022. That is why there is a need and relevance to search for new teaching and education methods in the system of historical education.
