Optimising the forms of remote interaction between educational process participants in art-cycle disciplines within creative training areas

Introduction. Modern conditions require art pedagogy to show permanent digital transformation and timely adaptation to social realities. The aim of this research is to identify the optimal forms of remote interaction between educational process participants in art-cycle disciplines in creative training areas. Materials and methods. The survey was implemented in four phases, from 2020 to 2024, at Yelets State University of Bunin (Russian Federation). The focus group included 169 teachers and students, each with practical skills in artistic activities and experience in remote interaction within the educational process. Empirical data were collected remotely through Google Forms. Microsoft Excel was used for quantitative statistical analysis. Results. According to the respondents, video-recorded lessons (18.24%) and online classes in a synchronous format (17.22%) are optimal forms of remote interaction during the training. The survey participants preferred the certification held on the theoretical part of creative disciplines to take place in the form of verbal answers in a synchronous format on online platforms (36.46%) and online testing in a synchronous format (24.25%). As for the current control over the practical part of art-cycle disciplines, the most popular are online certification in a synchronous format on pre-assigned tasks (36.74%) as well as certification based on results of work performed during the reporting period (27.93%). KEYWORDS Conclusion. The survey results have been implemented in the Bachelor training programme in the study field 44.03.05 “Pedagogical Education” (involving two training profiles) within the specific area “Art Education, Supplementary Education”, an intra-extramural form of study, which made it possible to improve the system of interaction between teachers and students, to optimise the forms of presentation of educational materials and to activate the formation of students’ professional competencies.
