The effect of feeding a yeast preparation on the productivity and hematologi-cal indicators of young rabbits

Rabbit breeding is a promising branch of animal husbandry with high potential due to the characteristic biological features of rabbits, which distinguish these animals from other species, namely high fertility, early maturity, short period of sorcery, lack of seasonality in reproduction, intensive growth of young animals, high payment for feed in products. Such features of these animals make it possible to quickly and evenly throughout the year to meet the needs of the market and economy of Ukraine with high-quality dietary meat and fur, and if necessary, to quickly increase production volumes. A restraining factor for the intensive development of rabbit breeding in Ukraine and abroad is the low level of survival of young rabbits, especially in farms. The susceptibility of rabbits to diseases, in addition to genetic factors, is due to the conditions of detention and the inconsistency of feeding and diet composition with the physiological needs of the rabbit's body at different age periods. Feeding factors significantly affect the metabolism in the rabbit body, as well as the growth, development and quality of rabbit products. Imbalance in rabbit diets in terms of essential nutrients leads not only to a decrease in productivity, but also to a decrease in immunity. The use of feed additives plays a particularly important role in feeding young rabbits, which increase the usefulness of diets and improve the quality of products. The main type of feed in intensive rabbit breeding is compound feed. However, most of the developed recipes for compound feeds do not meet the modern requirements of the industry, since they do not take into account the breed and age characteristics of rabbits. The possibility of additional use of dietary supplements and microbial preparations in intensive rabbit farming has not been sufficiently studied to date. Studies of physiological and biochemical processes in the body of rabbits using yeast feed additives in diets, necessary to provide them with deficient nutrients, are relevant. The results of studies of their effect on the body of young rabbits can be a theoretical basis for making new technological decisions regarding the physiological justification of the elements of rabbit feeding technology and the production of high-quality environmentally safe rabbit farming products. Rational use of feed resources involves the search and introduction into the diet of animals of non-traditional types of feed that contribute to the process of converting feed nutrients into products and ensuring their quality. The aim of the study was to study the effect of the yeast preparation “Eсo-growth” on the productive qualities of rabbits, changes in live weight, hematological and biochemical blood parameters of early weaned young rabbits of the White Giant breed. The practical significance of the conducted studies is that the effectiveness of the use of the yeast preparation “Eсo-growth” on the productivity of young rabbits and the absence of pathological effects on the body, taking into account hematological and biochemical blood parameters, has been experimentally proven.
