Technological aspects of the formation of an innovative module of an organic sheep farm of a specialized dairy direction of productivity

Development of resource-saving technologies for milk and lamb production in the “Organic” and “Bio” style, breeding of highly productive sheep breeds of foreign selection will contribute to the formation of a specialized dairy direction of productivity in sheep farming in Ukraine. Research objective – to analyze the experience and technological and economic aspects of the production of organic sheep products in the conditions of the farms “Andreas Tina Sauter” (Switzerland) and “Geozem-Makariv” LLC (Ukraine). To achieve the goal, the following tasks were set: to investigate technological solutions and technical means of sheep milk production in the above-mentioned farms; to assess the impact of feed additives on milk production of ewes; to investigate the meat productivity of young Lacone breed cattle under organic production conditions; compare the structure of costs and revenues for milk and mutton production; assess the economic efficiency of sheep production, taking into account state support. The study was conducted using standardized methods, methodological approaches, and regulatory documents in Switzerland and Ukraine. Live weight of sheep was determined by individual weighing. Milk production was monitored daily using individual counters (morning and evening). It was found that the high profitability of milk and lamb production at Andreas Tina Sauter is due to the implementation of innovative technological solutions, effective use of the genetic potential of the Lacon breed, higher prices for organic milk (3.50 – 4.0 CHF per 1 liter) and organic lamb (14.50 CHF/kg of boneless meat), as well as significant state support for farming in Switzerland. At Geozem-Makariv LLC the implementation of innovative technological solutions, primary processing and advanced processing of milk in accordance with the standards of the HACCP system. The research results can be used to develop high-tech modular farms and family-type sheep farms in the “Organic” style with the aim of forming a specialized dairy direction of productivity in sheep farming in Ukraine. Prospects for further research consist in studying the quality indicators of sheep products obtained from sheep breeding in various zones of radioactive contamination after the accident at the Chernobyl NPP.
