Egg productivity of quails with the use of a probiotic suppement
The article studied the effect of probiotics on quail egg production. Quail eggs contain many nutrients, and also have antibacterial, immunomodulating and antitumor properties. Probiotics act as antagonists on pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms in the digestive tract of animals. Compared with antibiotics that inhibit immune functions in the body, probiotics in turn stimulate the synthesis of antibodies against pathogens. The aim of the experiment is to study the effect of probiotics on morphological quality indicators, as well as the shape and size of quail eggs. According to the results of the experiments, it was found that when feeding the probiotic “Gardizen M” the gross egg collection increased in quails of the 2nd group by 38.6 % (P < 0.001), the 3rd by 49.9 % (P < 0.001) and the 4th by 12.9 % (P < 0.001), compared to the control. Additional use of a probiotic supplement increases the egg production rate in the 2nd group by 38.7 % (P < 0.001), in the 3rd by 50.0 % (P < 0.001) and in the 4th by 13.0 % (P < 0.001), the egg production intensity increases in quails of the 2nd group by 38.6 % (P < 0.001), in the 3rd group by 49.9 % (P < 0.001) and in the 4th by 12.9 % (P < 0.001), compared to control counterparts. It was found that under the action of the probiotic, the egg mass in quails of the 3rd group increased by 8.6 % (P < 0.001), the protein mass by 6.1 % (P < 0.001), the shell mass in the 2nd group by 7.6 % (P < 0.01) and the 3rd by 38.4 % (P < 0.001), and the yolk-to-protein mass ratio in the 2nd group by 5.3 % (P < 0.05), relative to the control. It was found that the small egg diameter was larger in the 3rd group of quails by 11.5 % (P < 0.01), the egg shape index in the 3rd group by 4.1 % (P < 0.001) and the 4th by 3.0 % (P < 0.01), and the diameter ratio in the 3rd group by 4.8 % (P < 0.05) compared to the control. The use of the probiotic supplement increased the height of the dense layer of egg white in the 2nd and 3rd groups by 33.3 % (P < 0.001), the small diameter of the dense layer of egg white in the 3rd group by 4.5 % (P < 0.001), and the large diameter in the 2nd and 3rd groups of poultry by 3.6 % (P < 0.05), relative to the control value. Additional consumption of probiotic feed supplement increases yolk height in group 2 by 9.0 % (P < 0.05) and in group 3 by 18.1 % (P < 0.001), small yolk diameter in group 2 by 4.7 % (P < 0.05) and in group 3 by 14.2 % (P < 0.001), large yolk diameter in groups 2 and 3 by 7.6 % (P < 0.05) and yolk index in group 3 by 9.5 % (P < 0.001), compared to the control group.
