Abstract. Relevance of the study. Accurate structuring of the training process requires a precise assessment of athletes’ specific physical qualities, motor abilities, and technical preparedness. It is evident that no single physical attribute ensures consistently high competitive performance. However, understanding the manifestation of physical qualities characteristic of female biathletes in various situations, along with a logically structured and well-organized training process, proves essential. In this context, expert evaluation allows the identification of shortcomings in the preparation of biathletes and the discovery of modern approaches for optimizing the training process. Purpose of the study is to substantiate expert evaluation data concerning the significance of motor qualities specific to biathlon. Methods. Analysis of scientific and methodological literature; expert evaluation method. Results. Analysis of the collected data enabled calculation of the average degree of consensus among expert opinions and determination of the concordance coefficient at W = 0.796, indicating a high level of agreement. However, a more detailed analysis required assessing the statistical significance of the concordance coefficient using Pearson's concordance criterion, which amounted to χ² = 33.44 with 7 degrees of freedom at a significance level of α = 0.05. Since the calculated χ² value (33.44) is greater than the critical table value (14.07), the concordance coefficient W = 0.796 is statistically significant at p < 0.05. Therefore, the obtained results are not random and may be used in further research. When comparing the ranked physical qualities of biathletes ordered by their importance for achieving high sports performance with actual indicators of physical preparedness, it is noteworthy that experts did not highlight specific endurance as a key attribute. This appears somewhat illogical, given that most scholars emphasize the foundational importance of specific endurance for success in biathlon. However, this divergence in expert and scientific opinions may be attributed to differences in theoretical knowledge or practical experience. Conclusions. The obtained data emphasize the importance of certain physical qualities or their components, which is corroborated by indicators of athletes’ physical preparedness.
