ЗАСТОСУВАННЯ КІНЕЗІОЛОГІЧНОГО ТЕЙПУВАННЯ ПРИ ДІАСТАЗІ В ПІСЛЯПОЛОГОВИЙ ПЕРІОД
Abstract. The article addresses the relevant issue of physical therapy for postpartum diastasis recti, a common condition among women after pregnancy and childbirth. In the absence of timely correction, diastasis can lead to serious musculoskeletal disorders, reduced quality of life, lower back pain, dysfunction of the abdominal wall, and pelvic organ disorders. Therefore, a comprehensive rehabilitation approach is needed for such patients, incorporating modern, safe, and non-invasive physical therapy methods. Thus, the aim of the study was to substantiate the feasibility of applying kinesiology taping in the physical therapy of women with diastasis in the postpartum period. Research methods. The study employed methods of analysis and synthesis of current domestic and international sources related to the research topic. Research results and conclusions. The article pays particular attention to taping as a promising method for correcting diastasis during the postpartum period. It presents an analysis of current sources confirming the effectiveness of taping in reducing the separation of the rectus abdominis muscles, improving neuromuscular activation, decreasing intra-abdominal pressure, enhancing blood and lymph circulation, and alleviating pain. The article also highlights contraindications to the use of kinesiology taping in the postpartum period, such as unhealed surgical wounds, complications during postpartum recovery, and infectious processes. The taping application technique is described with consideration of the woman’s physiological condition. The obtained results support the appropriateness of including kinesiology taping in physical therapy programs for women with postpartum diastasis. However, further clinical research is needed to develop standardized guidelines and application protocols.
