The Future of Insurance for Women: Emerging Trends, Legal Framework, the Role of Education, and Women's Economic Development
This paper examines the role of insurance in the economic empowerment of women by analyzing the impact of education and financial literacy, as well as the influence of legal policies and opportunities for inclusion in the insurance industry. Insurance provides an important avenue for women to secure financial protection for themselves and their families, while also creating new opportunities for entrepreneurship and risk management. However, significant barriers remain, including gender inequalities, lack of financial education, and limited access to insurance services, particularly in the informal sector. This study emphasizes that financial education is a key element in enabling women to gain sufficient knowledge of insurance products and to increase their use as tools for financial stability. Moreover, legal reforms are needed to create more equitable opportunities for women, including the development of insurance products tailored to their specific needs. The inclusion of women in policymaking and financial decision-making is also essential to ensure that insurance policies are fair and inclusive. In conclusion, the paper proposes that new technologies, especially digitalization, can create opportunities for women to gain greater access to insurance by eliminating geographical barriers and offering new avenues for financial inclusion. This would lead to sustainable development for women, improvement in gender equality, and the creation of new opportunities for women's advancement in financial and economic markets.
