The Effect of Academic Organizational Climate Perception on Knowledge Sharing Behavior of Postgraduate Students in Universities in Jiangxi Province, China

This study, grounded in Self-Determination Theory, investigated the mechanism through which the perception of academic organizational climate from postgraduate student influences their knowledge sharing behavior, particularly paying attention to the mediating role of knowledge sharing willingness. Utilizing a convenience sampling approach, we collected survey data from 639 postgraduate students across five universities in Jiangxi Province, China, which were analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results demonstrated that: (1) academic organizational climate exerted a directly positive effect on knowledge-sharing behavior (?=0.212, p<0.01); (2) academic organizational climate significantly enhances knowledge sharing willingness (?=0.675, p<0.01), which in turn further promoted knowledge sharing behavior (?=0.245, p<0.01). These findings provided both theoretical insightsand practical implications for higher education institutions to optimize academic organizational climates and facilitate knowledge sharing practices among postgraduate students.
