Native Language Proficiency and Cultural Identity in Education

The research into the Albanian language and pedagogical paradigms covers an interdisciplinary range of interrelations across knowledge domains as well as societal practices, reflecting patterns of evolution and adaptation to societal dynamics. These evolution patterns occur across varying temporal contexts, evolving simultaneously with societal development and change. The current research seeks to recognize indicators reflecting the evolution of Albanian language instruction in three states where it is considered the native language. We investigate challenges related to learning Albanian as an L1 at university level by means of comparative analysis into methodological novelties. The results are portrayed through comparative data obtained from Albanian language and literature assessments at three educational institutions, each providing analogous courses of instruction. In similar contexts, we observe that experiential learning influences models of practice, at times evolving into traditional methods. The methods of instruction require innovation with the integration of results from fields like sociolinguistics as well as pragmatics, with the aim of providing coherence as well as versatility to education of the Albanian language. Abstract
