El Del frame al estereotipo: Narrativa sobre los inmigrantes latinoamericanos en España a través de El País y El Mundo

The Spanish National Statistics Institute (INE) reports that approximately 1.5 million Latin Americans, primarily from Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Venezuela, are legally residing in Spain. Media outlets such as El País and El Mundo provide extensive coverage of this demographic, shaping a particular narrative or frame around Latin American immigrants. This study employed a content analysis of 300 randomly selected articles to identify the frames employed by these newspapers between 2019 and 2023. The research further explored the correlation between these media frames and public perceptions of Latin American immigrants in Spain.
