Optimization of trade-offs in civil aircraft design: a study of a quality function configuration system integrating Six Sigma and QFD
Aiming at the problems of low efficiency of multidisciplinary collaborative decision-making and difficulty of options selection in the civil aircraft design process, this study proposes a systematic trade-off optimization method integrating Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Based on the IDDOV process framework, the quantitative mapping relationship between customer requirements and product characteristics is constructed through the quality function deployment (QFD), and the alternatives are evaluated multidimensionally by combining with the Pugh Matrix (Pugh Matrix). The study takes spoiler design as an empirical object, uses normalization to eliminate the difference in magnitude, and uses MATLAB program to calculate the integrated weights of key characteristics, which verifies the effectiveness of the method in balancing technical indexes and economy. This study expands the theoretical boundaries of the traditional trade-off study by integrating statistical tools and system.
